この作品は、２００３年６月１２日に開催された「安東京平ユーフォニアム・リサイタル」のお祝いの為に、そして安東京平氏の今後の益々の活躍を願って創作されたものです。
当初、帰国されて間もない安東氏でしたが、米国で学んだものを遺憾なく発揮し、正に飛躍するその時であるという事から、文字通りタイトルを「飛躍の時」と致しました。
創作にあたり「技術的にアマチュアでも演奏可能な作品」をという要望もあり、アレグロ・モデラート、モデラート、アレグロ・モルトの全く性格の違う３つの部分から構成された小品です。
吹奏楽伴奏版初演は２０１３年１０月２０日、逗子文化プラザホールにて開催された第３８回逗葉地区青少年音楽祭で行われました。

This work was composed for the celebration of the “Kyohei Ando Euphonium Recital” held on June 12, 2013. And hopes for Mr. Ando’s future increasing success.
Initially, Mr. Ando was shortly after returning from the United States, but I hope he demonstrated without regret what he learned in the United States, and I thought it is time to make a dramatic leap. Therefore, I decided on the title “The Time of the Leap”.
It is a small piece made up of three parts that are completely different in character: Allegro Moderato, Moderato, and Allegro Molt.
The wind band accompaniment version premiered on October 20, 2013, at the 38th Zuyo Youth Music Festival.
